As I look back at my journey in Tech Mahindra Business Services Group (BSG), it feels like reminiscing through a chapter of growth, learning, and prolific experiences. Joining in 2004, I stepped into a world where Business Process as a Service (BPaaS) and BPO services converged, a domain as diverse as it was promising.
From my initial role as a Contract HR associate, I navigated through various roles – evolving into Executive Trainee, Senior Executive, Assistant Manager, and finally stepping into the Managerial shoes. With each step, I wasn’t just climbing a professional ladder; I was shaping the HR landscape within the organization.
As Manager – Operations HR, I helmed a team of 8 Management Trainees, orchestrating their growth while supervising around 3000 associates across multifaceted business domains. My days were filled with monitoring the intricate movements of employee transitions, working hand-in-hand with the core team to craft Employee Database Management systems, and meticulously executing LEAN projects, fine-tuning HR processes for efficiency.
A standout chapter during my tenure was the pivotal role I played in pivotal Lean projects, making substantial contributions towards reducing Average Call Handling Time and streamlining Processing Time, earning accolades from the Quality teams and organizational leadership.
It was more than just HR; it was about building bridges between departments, crafting engagement strategies, and fostering relationships. Being recognized as the “Best Support Function” at the ICON awards for consecutive years, appointed as the Chief Fun Officer, and earning acclaim for establishing a vibrant employee relations forum – these were the highpoints that adorned my journey.
However, what stood out amidst these achievements was the genuine connection forged with every associate, being a responsive ally, and the joy of solving issues promptly. It was about nurturing a rapport that transcended roles, earning accolades not just from the organization but also from our clients.
Tech Mahindra BSG wasn’t just a workplace; it was a canvas where HR strategies met practical implementation, fostering an ecosystem that thrived on synergy and efficiency.
